I miss Buck Rider, too, and I die a little on the inside when I think about losing this site!
Is there any way at all you could start using sites that still work, like Wupload, Rapidshare, Crocko, Freakshare, Uploading or even Mediafire?

The uploading.com links are still working for this book but I keep running into a problem with the link for part 1.
I have attempted to download from Firefox and IE and both end up giving me an error message.
The second part I have had no trouble downloading.

Fileseve is back, yes. But they killed our account, so we don’t have access to any of our files anymore, we couldn’t even delete stuff if we wanted to. So we’re kicked to the curb and they still make money off our links.

The links won’t be changed back to fileserve, because those cocksuckers don’t deserve to make any money off our uploads.

There will be some major changes to the site soon, we’re working out the last problems and we’ll probably back next week with a new concept.

and saw that the link noiw has
Fileserve:

but if you put back the front http://www.fileserve.com the link is now back from the dead.

Hi!

I just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work and effort in compiling and uploading all these wonderful audiobooks. I’d've gone bonkers without them. And through you I’ve found some wonderful new stories to listen to as well.

I’ll echo the others here and hope also that this will blow away, and everything will be back to normal again soon, but in any case, I’ll wish you all the best, and I’d love to see you continue with abook…

Hello Kathy, we needed Filseonic & Fileserve Links to finance this site and even that barely did it. I often had to come up with cash from sideprojects.

For now we won’t take submissions on any filehost, because there are big changes coming in the next 2 weeks.

I will write an announcement for that on the main site later today or tomorrow.

It’s very disturbing that Filesonic and Fileserve have destroyed all your hard work. I have several audiobooks stored on MediaFire but I haven’t submitted them because your FAQ says you only want files submitted from Filesonic and Fileserve. I guess that’s going to change?

If you look at my first link you will see that there is a possibility that at least this agreement might be thrown out in the U.S. if it is found to me unconstitutional.

Also check out filetram.com. Search anything and then on the left side a list of various services will come up. I don’t know how many are still going after this past week’s events but I can confirm the 3 I mentioned as still up and running.

Hey, buck,
What about getting in touch with the guys running http://www.hoerbuch.to ?? Its a big German site I use a lot. They are looking for some clever programmers anyway at this moment, And they could surely use some sprucing up for their site…

However, what probably keeps them alive is, that you have to register to gain access to the download-area AND you have use a so called “thank you”-button to unveil the download-links.
I do not understand truly how these things work, but I could imagine, that it throws some of the dogs off your scent.

They also have a foreign audiobooks section. What about moving there for a while? Maybe they know a way to use European upload servers instead of American?
