There haven’t been too many updates in the last couple of weeks and I apologize for that, it was mostly because I lacked the motivation… but I think I am over that now and to make it all up to you, I’ve decided to give away five 3-day accounts to mydownloader.net. It is not much, but maybe some of you can make use of the accounts.

Oct 8, 2011Hey there. Audiobooks seem to be the closest I come to reading lately. Between my job, my 2 beautiful children, the cat, the yard, my in-laws and of course my angel wife I barely find the time to pick up the newspaper. Please keep up your awesome work. There are so many stories I’d like to read, but have no time for. So audiobooks are great for me. Thanks for all your effort.

I too think you have a great site and really appreciate your work and time spent!
The reason i should get one of the accounts:
Am an 20 year old stundet form austria, so my mother language is german.
Four years ago I amost failed English at school, that’s when i realized i had to do something about it – so i started reading English books, but i almost always got the pronunciation wrong…
So i continued with English TV series, movies and above all audiobooks!
By now i can’t stand watching german tv, because the lip movement of the English/American/… actors dosn’t match the german words comming out of their mouths and the translated sense of humor is just not the same!)
But i still could use some language trainig, and listenig to the different kinds of dialects in English audiobooks, it really helps!
So that’s my reason and longer than intended…sry

Anyways, basically I really appreciate your work and blah blah blah, thanks for letting us know to keep checking back blah blah blah. haha.
Um, why I should get an account? I have various sleep problems and found that audio books have done more than anything except maybe the CPAP. My taste seems to be right on par (mostly) with things here. I still have insomnia, wake up tired, and can sleep for days, but its nice to use the abooks to relax and really concentrate on when instead of staring at the walls. (Btw, I like bella’s reply, but that’s just IMHO.)

As someone with health issues, during the night when I can’t sleep audiobooks have been a godsend to me (and my dog Buddy)! The range of books available means I can try out authors I’ve never heard of before and as there are so many to choose from, I’m not going to run out of choices any time soon!

Oct 10, 2011As a Self Employed Sub-Contractor, I spend a LOT of time on the road. I go from my home here in Muddle Tennessee, to Laredo, TX. to pick up new International trucks to deliver to dealerships all across the Southland. I am gone from home 2-3 weeks at a time. I seldom get a radio station for any length of time, so I listen to Audio books exclusively. I currently have over 860 gig of audio books saved on cd’s, DVD’s, memory sticks and on a 2 Tb hard drive.
I used to spend a fortune on audio books I purchased in truck stops and on e-bay. I have been so glad and relieved to come to this web site and get a much better selection for my long range listening pleasure. I did get a membership at File Serve, just for downloading your audio books.
My problem has been that sometimes File Serve doesn’t have the audio book I want available, and my ability to download has sometimes been hindered by available bandwidth. Having more sources would help solve that problem.
Anyway, this Old Road Warrior (age 60) would appreciate what ever help I can get to make my time away from home, a better place to be.
Great site, and I have recommended it to several of my fellow CDL-A license holders.
Oct 13, 2011I am a teacher and would love a chance to get one of these accounts. I have a 45 min drive each way everyday. Audiobooks really make the drive more enjoyable. I would love to be able to get more books to add to my collection without the long wait times.
