Patrice Callan, a beautiful con artist, needs to disappear, and she comes to Ben Tennant for help. He sets her up—fake documents, fake background, a fresh start. When a cold-as-ice CIA agent comes looking for her, Ben refuses to play along. He and Patrice end up on the run. It’s an uneasy alliance. Ben has a special talent for reading people, but Patrice is a complete mystery to him. He doesn’t trust her, or his feelings for her.

Patrice swears she has no idea what the CIA is after, but Ben knows it’s big—big enough to get armies moving, big enough to start a war. They can only keep moving, trying to untangle a web of deception and dirty deals.

And the CIA isn’t their only problem. Others are searching for Patrice. The worst of the lot is Emile Balazs, a high-stakes arms smuggler who has a history with her. He’ll use any means to get her to cooperate. That leaves Ben and Patrice with no where to turn and No Time to Hide….
